With BitTorrent Announcing its legit stand on media, the idea seems quite a fair one. However, with all the assumptions that BitTorrent makes about their forecasts really makes you think otherwise.
Boasting of about 4500 plus titles on their list and with major tie ups with 20th CenturyFox, Lions Gate, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. HomeEntertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios,Inc. (MGM) their library sure seems to rock. Some of these films are even pre-DVD release as according to an article.
That just makes BitTorrent a great resource for legal content.
So whats the Big Issue
Well, BitTorrent talks of 1.5 hundered million users (approx.) who have actually installed the software onto their machines. But, these users primarily uses the p2p for illegitimate content forwarding and how many of those would be willing to go legit and pay for these is still a question
So will the big gamble pay off? I guess its just a matter of time we found out.
